Welcome to Philbrook’s Boatyard, the Pacific Northwest’s premier full-service boatyard, offering onsite facilities for custom design and construction, and complete boat repairs. Our shipyard has been in continuous operation since 1950 and has earned a reputation for quickly adapting to changing markets and responding to the sophisticated needs of our customers.

Philbrook’s is recognized for building elegant custom motor and sailing yachts, while steadfastly keeping abreast of new technologies, materials and manufacturing techniques in the ship building and repair industries.

DETAILING

The Detailing Department of Philbrook’s Boatyard Ltd. is comprised of professional detailers with extensive backgrounds in the marine industry.

Detailing:

  • Complete exterior wash and wax from the radar arch to the water line, before or after your trip. All metal, wood and fiberglass yachts from small up to 120’ and beyond
  • Partial or complete interior cleaning from the bilge to the bridge
  • Cleaning of fridges, freezers, bedding and linens
  • Vacuum, dust, wash, clean and polish the house, hull and all fiberglass areas
  • Empty bilge water and clean the bilge using special “bilge cleaner”
  • Clean engines and engine rooms
  • Sub-contract dry chem. carpet cleaning (dries in 1 hour)
  • Our specialty - teak deck 2 step cleaning using teak deck cleaner and brightener
  • Preparation for winter storage at the end of the season
  • Spring cleaning to prepare for usage after winter storage

Decommissioning:

  • Take photos at the beginning of a project, label, inventory, pack and store personal items. Arrange freezer and dry storage of provisions

Commissioning:

  • Replace all personal items at the completion of the job as recorded by the photographs taken

Protection

  • Foam for walls, and corners to prevent damage
  • Plastic to keep dust and dirt off
  • Cardboard for protection of interiors and floors
  • Deck mask – heavy duty adhesive paper protective cover either 18” or 24” wide to protect decks

Laundry

  • Boat linens and personal clothing
  • Take to the dry cleaner, or laundromat or special cleaning by hand

Facility Care

  • Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of all the shops and facilities on site

The Detailing Department is involved in all works in progress and completed projects. “Mermaid” specialty marine products are used for all vinyls, plastics and canvas. The Detailing Department maintains the proper atmosphere for the work being done to occur in a safe and hygienic environment with the protection and care of your asset as first priority.
